Whittier, NC - Aug 17, 2010

Caroline and Ray drove up from Murphy. The plan was to go to Gatlinburg but you know how things can change. We wound up at the Cherokee nation Casino. Good thing we did, SOME people are now richer. After a couple of hours of listening to the clink clink clink we decided it was time to do what we do best. This is where we ended up.

Now, it looks like the four of us are the only ones here but that's not correct. The other two are moving cars and stuff. Wonder what Connie and George are looking at? Gotta tell you George and I tried something new---Indian Tacos. They were pretty good.

Time to drive around and see what's to be seen. It was pouring down rain and very difficult (for me) to get some of the pictures.

These bears are everywhere. I think Connie got every one of them.

Tied up traffic with this one.

Indians don't ride horses, they ride trolleys.
Look at the little bears climbing the tree.
I was the literaly the back seat driver.

Then we decided to go further up the mountain. This house almost doesn't look real.

At the end of the road was this river.

Time to turn around and go back. Thank you for great friends and your grace.
