LSAC - Lakeside - Onalaska - Memorial Weedend 3

Sunday morning we start with our now annual Progressive breakfast. First stop, the Coleman's for Mimosas. Cecelia did a great job of decorating. Our glasses had stars on them and she had sun visors for us to decorate with stars, if we wanted.

Lee Helstrom and Shirley Buckert are enjoying the first stop.

Second stop, Brinlee for yogurt shots. Wonder what Joanne was saying. (she can't talk without her hands)

Sharon and David Foster along with Nancy Brinlee are watching something interesting.

Guess I got this picture out of order. We're still back with the Mimosas.

We missed stop number 3 at the Fosters. They were serving the Bloody Mary's!! George had to get started on the bacon. Such concentration.

C'mon, Ray, get those eggs started. Betty is out marshalling. We had a twist this year. At each station we drew a card (that cost us $5.00)and put it into an envelope. At the end of the day, we drew our final card, opened the envelope and saw what kind of "poker hand"we had. Lee Helstrom had the best hand. Pretty good takings ($90.00)
People in the park thought we were crazy. We (the guys) carried that umbrella tent up and down the sites so we could get a little shade. So the dance goes...one, two, three, shift!!!
Here, we're back at the yogurt "shack".

Betty's hard at work, keeping track.

Marge Helstrom being polite and waiting.

Station four was the food. Scrambled eggs, Sausage gravy, Bacon, Sausage, Biscuits and Fruit. Many people made that all possible. In the evening, we had hamburgers and hotdogs and all the leftover food from Saturday. Doesn't matter whether it's left over or not, still good food.
Thank you again for great friends and times.

LSAC - Lakeside - Onalaska - Memorial Weekend 2

Boy, I'm really getting lazy with picture taking. This is the only picture I took for ALL day Friday. Everyone else went to or back to Florida's. George and I didn't want to ribs again so we went to my doctor's nightmare. Connie, I didn't think you wanted to go back either.

Saturday morning brought a catered breakfast. We had breakfast tacos with yogurt and fruit. It was really good. Everyone stood around just waiting. See the bored looks?

OK, I'm ready, where's the food?

Anytime, people. The one on the right is Shirley Buckert. They joined in February and this was the next rally for them.

We left the campground to go to Kingwood to spend the day with the family. Brooke is graduating today. Snow White has been her favorite since she could say "No White".
Brooke and Brittany put this "card" together. They found pictures of Brooke from birth to now and put them on the card and all over the pool table. What a grand time we had remembering all those times.
There were framed pictures of Brooke all over the house. This was her guest register table.
The dessert table.

The table was set up for a buffet but there was so much food it spilled over everywhere.

Papa had a moment with "his girl".

Another of the framed pictures. This was senior prom day.

Sama's girl.

Another Sama's girl (Brittany) with her Aunt Rene.

Gotta get tha tassle just right. Brooke's other grandma and Brooke's boyfriend, Michael.
Brooke and her grandma.

We were sitting so far up in the stands, we couldn't see the stage very well. That's Brooke on the screen. (what you can see of it)

They finally got through the ceremony. This is what all the kids were waiting for.
The girl with Brooke is one of her longtime friends. Lindsay used to go "camping" with us when we got our first coach.
The four Bailey girls with a proud Papa looking on.

Karen was standing on the table behind George.

Are we proud grandparents or what?

Naw, Mom and Dad, they're not proud either!!!

Back to Onalaska, safe and sound. Thank you for a wonderful day.

LSAC - Lakeside - Onalaska - Memorial Weekend

The first sighting of the campground.

Ah yes, here at last.

The Helstroms have come to keep us company. Looks pretty desolate, eh?

Here we go. The weekend have begun!!

Guess the cook gave up the ship for the day.

The inside of the restaurant looks a might like Memorial Day itself. Good place to go this weekend.

Even the Christmas tree is decorated with red white and blue.

This was a beautiful sunset but unfortunately it didn't show in this picture.

Time for dinner. 10 of us invaded these poor people without announcements.
Lee and Marge Helstrom are patiently waiting. Betty Shonk and Cecelia Coleman in the background.

It's an uphill climb some days.
This poor man (in the black) was having a birthday. The employees did a great job but they made him and another guy get up and dance.

Ray and Betty Shonk packing up.

Lee and Marge Helstrom.

Bruce and Sherran Marler.

Reg and Cecelia Coleman getting ready to have lunch tomorrow on those wonderful ribs. Notice the concentration!!

Florida's has won a lot of trophies for their cooking.

Cecelia Coleman and Sherran Marler. (on the way out)
See how happy a little food makes you?

OK, who had what?

Reg is saying, "What's the hold up?
Good food, good friends. Thank you.
