Kerrville with the Kids - June 9-13, 2010

After a trip to Wal Mart on Thursday to get some goodies, the girls are ready to go snorkeling. They are stepping gingerly on the slippery rocks to get to the really deep (24") water.

Got some really big bubble wands.

Please don't pop in my face.

There they go!!

Let's see what else is in the bag.

Karen stikes out on her own.

Heading back to the coach. Gotta wait for Papa.

Now comes the really fun stuff. The girls have been asking to go to the rope swing. Karen was here 2 years ago and remembered.

This is one of the areas that Karen swung from.

Working their way over to the tree the first time. Notice how careful they are---wait!!!

Karen is saying "Oh my gosh we have to go way up there?"

Getting ready (called getting up the nerve)

Here goes Karen.

Brittany's ready. (finally)
Hang on tight, Sami!!
Brittany's turn.

Sami looks like a frog.

Let go, Karen.

Karen calls Papa.
Sami calls Sama.
The glowing caterpillar.

Full face photo of Caterpillar.

We celebrated Sami's birthday at dinner on Thursday. She wasn't too happy when we made her stand up while all the old folks sang Happy Birthday.

A self-portrait of Karen.

Gisele's sister, Morricette, has the same birthday as Sami. She is visiting from France for 2 months.

Phil and Gisele spoil Sami.
Happy girl.
Look how fast Sami is moving---she's a blur.

Papa gets in the action.

These girls absolutely smash that poor disc.
There goes the blur again.
Karen is pretty good at this game too.

Papa and Sama's girls.
A big group of Travelers went to Camp Verde for lunch on Friday. It's an old army post that used camels for transportation and pack animals.

Our little corner of the restaurant.

This is half of Papa's sandwich.
I weigh how much?
Got them to stand still for a minute.

Looks like the camel is going to take a bite out of Brittany's head.

Breakfast time on Sunday morning.
Waiting for them to put some tables together.

Our really good friends, Connie and Manuel Esparza.

Let's get those menus so we can get our order in.

Home and ready to detach the car. We have a couple of eager helpers.

What a wonderful time. Thank you.
