LSAC - Cut N Shoot - Mar 28

Good Morning to the rally goers. It's Palm Sunday and it looks like the Easter Chicken has been here already. Sharon has instructed each person to take one egg and not open it until after breakfast. Surprise---one person had a note saying they had won the Easter Lily. Nice surprise!!!

Something wrong with this picture? Men gathering in the kitchen!!!

Sharon Foster and Cecelia Coleman. (Our new secretary, thank you again Cecelia)

Again, we gather to eat and give thanks.

Time to say goodbye.

The Brinlees and Trouts were waayy down at the end of the row.

One of the cabins and the pool with a fountain in the pond.

The road out.
Thank you for having us.
Fuel and brunch.

LSAC - Cut N Shoot - March 27

Getting ready to do you know what.

Look at all the interest. It looks more like a reading club.

The head wagonmistress (Nancy) and her sidekick.

The girls go shopping!!!! Kathy (left) and George Couts came to visit us for the day. They used to belong to the club. From left to right--Kathy Couts, Nancy Brinlee, Patsy King, Bobbie Bussell, LeAnn Trout, Sue Didelot, Sharon Marler and Betty Shonk. I made them wait to take the picture. It wasn't two seconds after this that everyone was on their way to the sale.

We spent the whole afternoon shopping so we will pick up at dinnertime. David Foster and Jack Bussell are the Offiicial cooks for the evening. We had fried catfish and hush puppies, fried chicken tenders and squirrel. Yep, they cooked it fresh. David and Sharon Foster and Jack and Bobbie Bussell were our hosts for the rally and they did a super job.

They are really "into" their job.

Lazy afternoon.
Mark spotted the piano while he was waiting for dinner. He sat down to play but remembered they were having a seminar next door and he was probably disturbing them.

These people came to educate those that needed it. It was all about electrical stuff. I opted to sit and yack in the dining room.

The discussion following the lessons. He said...but I do it this way...well, maybe he's right.

Looking at the goody catalog passed out at the seminar.

Wow, Betty and Kathy are serious.

Caught you.

LSAC - Cut N Shoot March 26

Friday Morning - the King's arrive and are greeted. Still not many here.

This is the way to start a day. Sue likes standing on her head.

Betty is making sure Sue stays down there. They have quite a nice exercise room here.

Second best thing we do...sittin' and talkin'.

The beginning few are growing in numbers.

The Marlers arrive.

It's evident that Ray and Mark are looking at something completely different from George.

OK, this the what we do best!! This little restaurant had some really good food. I found something on the menu I had never seen before. Connie, you're probably gonna laugh at me but I had never seen Tortas before. Thought I would try them and asked the waitress what Mexican buns were. She really had a difficult time trying describe them for me. Tried it anyway and was pleasantly surprised. The sandwich was really good. For those of you who don't know, like me, it's fajita chicken , lettuce, tomato and avocado on a kind of hard roll only it wasn't hard. Perfectly clear, eh?

Look how colorful these tacos are.
Time to pay the piper.
This guy turned his head when he saw me with the camera.

Look what they've done while we were doing our number one activity.

These guys got tired of watching all the decorating going on and laid down to snooze.

Betty hanging out waiting for me to get through with the pictures. My chauffeur is waiting also.
We turn down the lane and lo and behold, we have more coaches.

Looks like some hustle and bustle to get situated in the adult chairs.

Jack stops us to say hello.

Bobbie says "HELLO".

Ummm---what do you think we are doing?
Oooo, Richard doesn't like what Mark is saying.

The Marlers with our newest member, David McGuire.

Nancy K arrives. (later than usual)
Mr Richard Brinlee, the Grand Poohbah, arrives.
The evening games have begun. If nothing else--- we have learned....BEAT RICHARD or better known as Rule # 1 (don't let Richard win).

Notice how everyone but Richard is smiling? That's because it's getting closer to the time that he LOSES.

There's two of us sitting there (after losing) to make sure about the Rule #1. Nancy can't watch. The nerves are getting to her but she withstood the challenge and WON.
