Then, it's over to the National Solidiers Cemetery. This statue is at East Cemetery Hill.
Entering the cemetery, the first thing you see is all these HUGE trees. You just know they had to be here when the cemetery was dedicated in 1863.
Such a beautiful setting. These men deserve the serenity.

Back to Lincoln Square to see the unique buildings.
In the Davis house is this table where Lincoln finished writing the Gettysburg Address.
The actual bed that Lincoln slept in the night before the address. Interesting fact---all the furniture in this room is wired so that if you even touch it, an alarm will go off. AND, you will be videotaped.
