Our destination of the day.
Here's the old guy himself. 
LeClaire, IA is Bill Cody's birthplace. There are several other museums in other parts of the country. 
This desk was supposed to belong to Abraham Lincoln. Don't know why it was in this museum but it was neat.
I remember my parents having one of these. That's how we kept our Christmas Trees alive.
A spinning wheel, treadle sewing machine and in the corner a vacuum cleaner. Check out the three sided chair.
An old fruit press.
Which one of these sleds did you have? I had the first and the last.
There were many hand made quilts here.
Horse hide coats like the ones that Buffalo Bill wore. 
Bill Cody's suitcase. I personally think the picture was painted on a newer suitcase. Maybe when he was older.

This cradle reminds me of a cradle with Indian influence.
This old boat was part of the Buffalo Bill museum. It was a working tug (paddle boat style) for 98 years. It didn't pass inspection in 1967 and was put on display.
This was the captain's bridge.
Don't think this lifesaver would be much use.
Guess this was a really modern galley at the time.
I couldn't get any closer to this display. The center object is an old steamer trunk.
After leaving the museum, we drove around town, just looking. They had all different types of homes from modern to old.
Love this old store.
We then drove into Davenport to the Casino. Shoulda stayed home. This scooter was parked real near us. Can't figure out if it belonged to a girl or a young boy. Surely no one else!!!
This was just sitting down by the river.
Our usual drive around town trip.
