We started out early (for us) to go to Incline Railway.
Ready for take off. Manuel on one side...
Look how foggy it is.
Great view through the ROOF of the car.
Look how pretty the view is.
The guys wait for us to get our fill of picturetaking.
Proof that the Esparza's were here.
Time for drinks and snacks.
Great shot of the railcar coming up the mountain.
Look at all the cables.
Connie and Manuel didn't have a seat in front of them to brace their feet on.
That's a loooonngg way down.
A house along side the track.
We went to Point Park at Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park and the sargeant was telling about the loading and firing of weapons during the war.
They explained the terms that were used during a battle. You can see the smoke!!!
This is Point Park.
These flags really caught my eye. Inside, they had information about the area.
Have you ever seen clothes hung this way?
A very strange shaped building.
C'mon, guys, we're hungry.
One last chance at the gold dome. Wish I'd let George take the picture.
Driving by, George spotted this restaurant. We had to go around several blocks to get back to it and park.
The place was built by some hippies out of crates.
Even the ceiling was made out of crates.
This isn't a really great picture but I couldn't use the flash or it would be worse. The building came to a very sharp point. This booth was in the wedge.
Over to the Chattanooga Choo Choo Park.
Here it is!!!!
Imagine having a meal while waiting for the train. This is very elegant.
What a nice park.
The day was almost over when Manuel and Connie learned that today was my birthday. Manuel called us over to their rig and they had TWO birthday cakes and Connie was singing. Oh yeah, don't forget the ice cream. That was really nice. Thank you, guys.
