WWW - Saturday at Kemah

George W and Dean are checking out Dave's lack of flags first thing in the morning. You can barely see them, so look carefully.

I think these ducks are ready for breakfast. What do you think?

Here we go again, getting ready for food. Guess you can tell...it's cold.
Naw, George, sticking your tongue out won't make me stop the camera.

Aren't we all here yet?

C'mon Mary, we're waiting for you and we are HUNGRY.

Aren't we all here yet?

Whew, we finally made it to biker's heaven. Well, it's really called Noah's Ark and it's on the Gulf. Wait til you see what they serve for breakfast!!!

We may have company for breakfast.

Check out this Motorcyle...we saw it on the road later.

It took me a long time to find the front door but eventually I find it. (even if we have to go completely around the building to where we started.)

Once inside we had a very nice room for all of us.

Ooh, what is this I see? Mark seems to be really concentrating on stirring the pitcher of Bloody Mary's just so. Maybe he's just anticipating!!! Bloody Mary's for breakfast you say? Sure and Marguarita's and Mimosas.

Look, aren't they cute?

Our youngest eager eater.

This caught my eye on the way back from breakfast. It is a shipping container made into a vacation home. Kinda neat.

An old lighthouse at the end of Kemah Boardwalk.

This looks like it has an observatory on the top. Look below to see the reason.

This is the reason!!!! Never saw a lighthouse on its side before. Looks a little mangled.

Don't think these pelicans will get very far.

A store at the Kemah boardwalk.

This is a wooden roller coaster. Wanna ride?

About 5 seconds after this picture was taken, this ride dropped out of sight. Ugh, my stomach hurts.

All the beautiful sailboats in the Marina.

This is the backside of the Aquarium, where we had dinner last night. Forgot I wasn't in the RV and couldn't get the guardrail out of the way. It is the building on the left.

This is one of the weirdest shaped buildings I have ever seen.

We drove to Sylvan Beach to see if we could find the Pavillion that George's dad and mom used to dance in with the Benny Goodman band. This is a train station in that area.

An old Convent where they trained the young women years ago.

This is where we THINK the Pavillion stood. The young man standing there said that this area was all new to him. He said that he has lived here his entire life and all he remembers is the Pavillion in the second picture.
This is the current Pavillion. The one George and I saw (with Dad and Betty) was a huge wooden floor surrounded by screening. Well, I finally figured out that the building we had seen, he wouldn't have remembered. We saw it thirty years ago and he probably doesn't remember back that far.
I finally got a picture of the RV signboard. It only took 3 days!!!

Say Goodbye everyone.

This was a great place to eat. We took up a whole section of the restaurant and had 2 chefs to ourselves.

I made George stop on the highway to take this picture of the back of the Ichibon restaurant.

Everybody was taking pictures of everyone else.

This was a beautiful glass mural but I couldn't get at the right angle without standing on the grill behind us.We had a very entertaining evening. These guys are great.
Fire on the mountain!!!
Birthday Boy. We missed Caroline's at a restaurant. Sorry, Caroline.
A perfect ending to a great day.
