Wausau to Mystic Lake - Sep 28, 2010

Open the blinds and this is what I saw. This has been a really different experience for us. There was suppose to be another RV in front of us but they had left at 5:45 AM to get their coach fixed. What an empty feeling that was.

With nothing to do all day but wait, this is what was the end of an exciting day. Connie and Manuel did get back in time for dinner and some TV watching. Other than that---uneventful. (for us)

Boy, am I happy to see this when I open the blinds. Everything fixed and ready to go. You'll notice we're still in Wal-Mart.

Off to see Minnesota. The trees haven't started to change very much here.

Just a tinge of color.

OK, now we're getting there.

Yes!!!

Didn't take too many pictures but you can bet your bottom dollar Connie did http://esparzacm.blogspot.com Thank you for helping my friends.

Marquette to Wausau, WI - Sep 26, 2010

As we were leaving the campground, this is the sight we saw. Our 'guard' was still on duty.

Here we go again.

This was the last view of Lake Superior

As seen through the fog.

Now THIS is fog.

Awesome!!

Gas and lunch, all in one place. This was a good choice. It was super busy so I was guessing it was a good place to eat. Once again, we guessed right.

We closed down for the day at Wal-Mart. It's gonna be a different experience for us. I'll let you know in the morning how it really was. Thanks for a wonderful day.

Marquette, MI - Sep 25, 2010

Open the blinds and what do you see? He was eating a marshmallow.

Our first glimpse of Mackinac Bridge.

Lake Michigan on the left, Lake Huron on the right.

I'm thinkin' this is the ferry to Mackinac Island.

They even have roadwork on the bridge.

Back on dry land.

Driving along the coast of Lake Michigan.

Looking back at the bridge. What a beautiful sight.

We stopped several times at scenic turnouts. Needless to say, it took us a BIT longer to make the trip that day.

Another turnout.

Our last look at Lake Michigan.

Along the road, inland.

The first glimpse of Lake Superior. Another stop in Munising, MI.

Never tiring of seeing the water, these are only a small number of pictures I took.

We went through Christmas, MI.

My favorite subject.

Connie is as goofy about the water as me.
OK, Sami, this is for you. The man that made this works in the Welcome Center in Munising.
More of them.

This is across the street from the lake.

Uh huh, more.

Guess hard times have hit here.

You find horse and carriages in all kinds of places. Certainly didn't expect it here.

Thought these condos were neat.

Thought this was a bit strange looking.

Then there are the buildings and homes. Another favorite. These homes are HUGE. Think they're frat houses.

This is where we finally landed this day. Quite a unique place. The reservation clerk was a trip by himself. He looked like an old weird miner.

The "park ranger" doesn't look very active.

This is the internet room.

Thank you for keeping us safe and letting us find this place.
