Gettysburg, PA - Aug 30, 2010
We start out to see where to get tickets for the tour. We found this charming roundabout with interesting buildings.

Part of the center is called Cyclorama. It is a WONDERFUL part of Gettysburg. There are pictures 360 degrees and they are gorgeous. These pictures do them no justice. Different parts of the scenes light up as they tell the story of the battle of Gettysburg. The pictures are HUGE. The platforms probably hold 200 people.

I asked the man if he wanted me to take a picture of him with the flag. He seemed so grateful. I wonder why there is so much emotion in him.
We like Abe.
He likes to imitate Abe. Almost perfect, Manny.
After driving the battleground most of the day it was time for dinner. Be sure to see Connie's blog http://esparzacm.blogspot.com for all the pictures from the tour. They are awesome!!

Louisa, VA to Gettysburg, PA - Aug 29, 2010
We off to see the wizard. Manny pulls out first.
They stop to let us take the lead. What a glare between their coach and our coach, it's hard to see Manny.

You'll have to excuse some of these pictures. Not the pictures but the fact I can't remember where we were.

Bet these people are lonely.
We had been at a standstill for a long time. Then we found out what the holdup was---Thurmont, MD was having a fair. Mighty long lines, from both directions, to get into the fairgrounds.
Liked this house.
Bridge over Potomac River.
This was some kind of seminary.
I was taking the pictures of the town when I realized we had to make a left turn at that light. These streets are SOOOO narrow. George manuevered that turn without too many problems. Only had to back up once. Bet the owners of the vehicles were holding their breaths!!
If the car seen at the corner had been able to back up, all would have been easier. Of course, there were many people in town. (Sunday) I wish I had the presence of mind to take some pictures of the ordeal but I was too busy holding MY breath.
You'll have to excuse some of these pictures. Not the pictures but the fact I can't remember where we were.
